On Saturday 15 October 2022, Dr. Ana Belén Pérez Oliva and Dr. Eduardo Salido Fiérrez talked about their common proyect in a radio interview entitled “Congenital anemias: the great unknown”, on Radio Libertad. The interview is part of the scientific radio program “Researchers around the world”, numer 176, presented and directed by Antonio G. Armas. During the interview, the doctors, both members of the Oncoimmunology, Congenital Anemia and Inflammation (OCAI) research group, spoke about the importance of the research in the field of congenital anaemias. Patients with these diseases currently lack treatment and it severely affects their quality of life.

In order to find a treatment for these disorders, Dr. Ana Belén Pérez leads her research group to find possible molecular mechanisms that are involved in the disease process, opening up a wide and novel field of study.
